This is how YRI's First Collection was born
Since I decided to start this journey—right in the middle of a meditation, surrounded by women—I’ve dreamed of this moment. Of seeing our garments become part of your everyday life, wrapping your body with softness and making you feel comfortable, free, and beautiful, just as you are.
Today, I want to share a piece of the journey that brought us here. Because this First Collection, the ITA Collection, is not just about creating high-quality, eco-conscious clothing. It’s a hug. A celebration of curves, of age, of the beauty found in diversity, of real bodies in all their forms.
A whirlwind of emotions (and boxes arriving ahead of schedule)
On February 28th, without any prior notice—almost as if the universe had planned a surprise (there was literally a planetary alignment that day)—the boxes with the Sets arrived at our office in Paris (my home) and the warehouse in Madrid. Way ahead of schedule!
Seeing everything finally materialize, after months of working on patterns, prototypes, fabrics, and decisions, was deeply emotional. Even more so was preparing the very first orders for their new homes, with help from my parents. Each box felt like a gift, carefully and lovingly wrapped.
The first 50 Sets in each color are flying
Our workshop in Portugal completed the Limited Edition production: 50 Sets per color - Black, Terracotta, and Olive -. And in just one month, several sizes have already sold out.
Knowing that the Bamboo Sets are now arriving to you, that you’re starting to wear them in your day-to-day life, to style them, live in them, make them your own… fills me with more emotion than I can put into words.
Thank you for believing in YRI
I can’t finish this post without saying thank you. To you, who made your preorder. To you, who have your Set waiting in your cart. To you, who are reading this and being part of this community.
Because loving ourselves as we are is also a form of revolution.
Thank you for being here.
With love,
YRI
